This song is a bit of a turkey day tradition for many, and I’ve enjoyed it since I was a kid. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, whatever you’re thankful for.
Ok, that done, it’s important that we not forget the hypocrisy of this day’s ostensible origins, like so many of our holidays. I wish every American would spare a thought today, and every day, for the way Native Americans (and indeed all people of color) have been treated here throughout history, and strive to be better than our ancestors.
PSA over, I sincerely hope you all have a great day with family or whomever you spend it with.
